Andrew Thacker Dill

1995 – 2011

Our Beloved Son and Bright and Shining Star, Andrew Thacker Dill, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2011. Andrew was 16 years old. He was an IB student at Pensacola High School, and AP Honors Scholar, a member of the National Honor Society and a former student at Suter Elementary School and Episcopal Day School. Andrew was known for his quick wit, his sense of humor, and his extensive vocabulary. He was a volunteer at the public library, a member of Covenant Orthodox Presbyterian Church, and with his father, an avid fan of Niceville Football.

Andrew is survived by his parents, Melissa Thacker and Darrell Dill; his brother, Tony Dill (Jennifer); his grandparents, Chet and Ginny Thacker, and Charles Dill; Aunt Teresa Patterson (Joshua), Uncle Jon Thacker (Amy), Uncle Joey Thacker (Stephanie), Aunt Carlisle Kittinger (Bruce), Aunt Frances Scott (Bill), Aunt Vivian Mottola (Mike), Aunt Mary Cleveland (Marc), Aunt Paula Bernthal, and Uncle Steve Dill; his three nieces, Cheyenne, Madisen and Hannah Dill; as well as numerous cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Covenant Orthodox Presbyterian Church with Reverend John Schortmann officiating.

Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 16, 2011 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the “Andrew Thacker Dill Memorial Scholarship Fund”, at the Pensacola Government Federal Credit Union.
