
Ann Tharp Vick passed away peacefully just one day shy of her 100th birthday on October 3, 2024, in Pensacola, FL. Born on October 4, 1924, in Bay Minette, AL she led a long life characterized by compassion, love, selflessness, strength, independence and a steadfast faith.
Ann graduated from Baldwin County High School and attended Auburn University, where she met her husband, Jake. They eventually settled in Pensacola where she alongside her husband, and their children, ran a successful dry-cleaning business (Vick’s) that stood as a testament to her hard work and dedication.
A charter member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, her faith was a cornerstone of her life. Ann's commitment to her church was profound, and she was actively involved in various church activities.
Her hobbies included volunteering, sewing, gardening, cooking, reading, completing 1,000s of jigsaw puzzles and spending cherished moments with her family. Her legacy of unwavering love and support will continue to inspire those who knew her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Ann is survived by her children, Emily (Gary) Rogers, Mary (Ron) Hull, Jake (Sheila) Vick, and Gray Vick; grandchildren Ron and David Hull, Missy Hull Grace, Jennifer and Katie Rogers, and Arthur, Stacy, Megan, and Madison Vick; along with 17 great-grandchildren, several step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jake Vick.
A memorial service will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church on October 11 at 11:00 am, located at 3400 Bayou Blvd, Pensacola, FL 32503. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church or United Ministries, honoring Ann’s lifelong dedication to her community.
