

Anna was born in Mifflintown, Pennsylvania in September, 1939, the fourth and last of six siblings.
She is survived by her son Charles, two granddaughters and two great grandsons.
She was a graduate of Juniata Joint High School in 1957. Anna moved to Pensacola, Florida in 1961, where she worked as a switchboard operator for Escambia Chemical Corporation, where she met and married her husband in 1963. In 1966 she returned to Pennsylvania with her family and started a career as a hospital admissions specialist before working for the State of Pennsylvania as a clerk typist and later personal assistant secretary to the State of Pennsylvania, Bureau of Workers Compensation, case referee office until her retirement in 2001. Following her retirement, Anna volunteered as a middle school mentor in Fort Walton Beach,
Florida and later volunteered with the Santa Rosa County, Florida public library system for two years, as well as with her church, Saint Marks United Methodist, in Pensacola, until 2020, when health concerns did not allow her to continue with her church activities. She enjoyed reading and going to movies all of her life, and was able to travel through much of the United States, as well as Canada, England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland.
Anna has many friends and was a good soul who lived a good life, and she loved her family and dear friends most of all. She loved, and she was loved.
She will be laid to rest Monday, August 12, 2024 with a visitation from 10am to 11am, followed by a service at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park. Those who know Anna are
invited to attend.
