Anna was born on March 10, 1933 in Benton, Mississippi to Lonnie and Marion (Bowles) Campbell. She passed away peacefully on March 31, 2014 in the home of her son and daughter-in-law in Memphis, Tennessee. She attended the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa and Missouri Baptist University, Greater St. Louis where she earned her bachelors of science degree in nursing. Anna especially loved her nursing work in the psychiatric ward and establishing a rapport' with patients. She highly valued education and was a lifetime learner, always seeking to widen her breadth of knowledge. Anna had two children in whom she fervently instilled a similar love of learning; she was proud that both children earned bachelors and masters degrees. Anna engineered more than a dozen relocations for her family in support of her husband's career, but still found time to become an artist, political activist, seamstress, bank manager, grief counselor, and world traveler. She was best known for her intellect, sense of humor, determination and strength of character. Anna was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, James Hamil Young, former Senior Vice President of Anheuser Busch, who passed away in 1990. Her surviving brothers are William Bowles Campbell and his wife, Sandy; Robert Eugene Campbell and his wife, Janice; and David Oscar Campbell and his wife, Pat. She is also survived by her two children, James Hamil Young, Jr. and his wife, JoAnn Berry Young, as well as her daughter, Terri Young Barrett and her husband, Steve Barrett.
