Tony DeVito, a loving family man and veteran, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2025, at the age of 77. A longtime resident of Pace, Florida, he was a cherished member of the community for the past 34 years.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Tony served honorably in the U.S. Navy before embarking on a successful 30-year career in telecommunications. He relocated to Pace, Florida, from Long Valley, New Jersey. He loved to stay busy, starting businesses with his sons when they were young and continuing to run his own business after retirement. A true car enthusiast, he enjoyed working with his hands and was always engaged in a new project.
Tony's greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He was a parishioner of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Mary Ann; his children, Anthony (Krystal), James (Andi), Denise (Andre), and Allison (Brian); his sister, Linda (Ray); his eight grandchildren, Leslie, Alanna, Alexis, Valerie, Madison, Christian, Nicholas, Katelyn, Bryson and Brianna; and his eight great-grandchildren, Elianna, Brennleigh, Brixton, Kaizen, Kimber, Waylon, Lucas and Hayden.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Nellie and Nunzio. His legacy of hard work, love for family, and unwavering and comedic spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A visitation for Tony will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, 3351 Scenic Highway, Pensacola, FL 32503.
The Mass of Christian Burial will occur Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 303 S Navy Blvd, Pensacola, FL 32507 with Father John Licari as celebrant.
Tony will be laid to rest in Bayview Memorial Park, with military honors.
Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, 3351 Scenic Highway is entrusted with arrangements.
