1930 – 2014
Audrey Blackburn Cox, peacefully went to her Lord on Sunday, June 01, 2014. She was in Baptist Hospital with family and friends by her side.
Audrey was born in Lexington, NC to Marvin and Mamie Blackburn, who preceded her in death. She was married to Garland Cox who also preceded her in death along with her beloved brother, M. J. (Jack) Blackburn.
Audrey is survived by two daughters, Kathy Marie Cox-Honeycutt (Julius) and Joyce Farr; grandson, Jason Cox; sister, Evelyn B. Carrick of Pensacola; dear sister-in-law, Nancy Blackburn of Lexington, NC; nieces, Angela Dewbrew(George) and Pam Butler (Todd) and their daughter, Enya; two nephews, Carl Blackburn and Timothy Carrick.
Mrs. Cox was a devoted Christian. She was retired from the Escambia County Engineering Department.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, June 05, 2014 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with Pastor Ron Carnley and Pastor Avon Fowler officiating.
