Aunt Bette although I've only met you a few times, one thing that I can truly say is that you were real. I'm so happy that you were able to come and see all of us in Stockton. It was certainly a moment in time that we will never forget. You will truly be missed but not forgotten.
P.S. thank you for the black girl real talk we had.

Aunt Bette,
I will never forget the look on your face when you came and surprised Papa Gus.. you were smiling from ear to ear and so was he. Your exact words to papa “who this right here,” & he followed “who this right here” that was the cutest, and ended with the longest hugs and kisses. Aunt Bette you will truly be missed, and I’m so glad I got the chance to see you again and had great conversation ( it was like I was talking to someone my age).. I am thankful to Jan for driving everyday so you can spend time with your brother (Papa Gus) and the family..
Rest in Heaven
Love Jess

I always enjoyed her conversation and joyful spirit. She enjoyed people and was a joy for those that knew her. She was a kind and
gentle but direct person which was a great quality of hers. R.I.P

When I reminisce about my childhood, it wouldn’t be complete without aunt Bette No matter how you were feeling, happy or sad, when aunt Betty laughed, she made you laugh too. I love you aunt Betty and will miss you. The Allen family will not be the same without you. I know you and Choo are smiling and laughing right now and telling us not to be sad. Rest In Peace aunt Bette.

To the Allen family,
This is Aunt Callie from Rochester, New York. I just have to say Betty and I met over 50 years ago and we hit it off right away. We were best friends and when Betty moved to Georgia we would visit every summer! Me, my husband, Thad, and his friend we just partied and have a good time together! Betty always welcomed you into our house just like a family member. We had years and years of good times and I will always remember her as being one of my “bestest” friends! I love you and may you rest in peace! You have all my love and support Janice and family!
Love you always,
Aunt Callie!
