Betty Bane Brown, our beloved mother, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025, at the age of 84.
Betty was born on May 6, 1941, in Darlington, FL. She is preceded in death by her parents, James Edward Bane and Macie Cook Bane, and her husband, William R. Brown.
She leaves behind her son, Carlton R. Brown (Tammy); sister, Nellie Bane Thompson; and brother, Tommy Bane (Mary). She is also survived by four grandchildren: Chad Brown (Amanda), Whitney Cook (Daniel), Bria Bronwyn (John), and Destiny Brown; five great-grandchildren: Ansli Brown, Cruz Brown, Landon Cook, Dax Cook and Jasper Bronwyn; two nieces: Rhonda Patterson and Nita Cottle; and three nephews: Marcus Bane, Jonathan Bane, and Michael Bane (Kelly); and numerous loving cousins.
Known to everyone as "Grandma Brown", she will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her kindness, and the way she made each person feel loved in their own special way.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 7, 2025 in Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens.
