Betty Lee Hanks

Betty was born on September 25, 1937 in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School. Betty was a member of the General Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star Park Place #0731.

Betty loved participating in family gatherings, she retired from Houston Lighting and Power Company.

Betty is preceded in death by her mother Catherine M. Harper Lee and her father Buford Lee, her loving husband James Berry Hanks Jr., son James Berry Hanks III, and granddaughter Melissa Lalo Gonzalez.

Betty is survived by her sister and best friend Patsy McAnally White, son Rodney Lee Hanks (Samantha), grandchildren Timothy Lee Hanks, Katie S. Sanchez, (Chandler), Cody Austin Hanks. Great grandchildren Hannah and Roman Gonzales, nephews John McAnally Jr. (Monica), David McAnally Jr. (Aubrey), and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Betty will be laid to rest with her husband at Forest Park Cemetery Lawndale in Houston, Texas.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Dementia Society of America.
