OBITUARY

Betty Ann Johnson

March 7, 1923November 11, 2020

Our dear, special, wonderful mom, Betty Johnson, went to be with her Lord and savior, Jesus, on November 11, 2020 after heart complications at the age of 97.

She was an awesome example of the love of God to so many. If you don’t know the Lord and wonder what He might be like, she was one good example of His love towards people. She never knew a stranger and loved so many people of all walks and ages. If you knew her much at all, you probably got cards from her and she may have even called to sing "Happy Birthday" to you! She had a way of making people feel special and loved and she so loved Jesus. As you read this obituary, if you have never asked Jesus to come into your heart, now would be a good time to do so.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Hugh Johnson and son, David Johnson. She was an active member of Saint Simons Christian Renewal on Saint Simons Island, GA and former longtime member of Brownsville Church, Pensacola, FL. Her life’s passion was sharing her love for the Lord Jesus Christ with everyone she met.

Surviving relatives include her son, Gary Johnson (Dolores) of Las Cruces, NM, two daughters, Suzanne Clements (Bruce) of Saint Simons Island, GA and Janice Johnson of, TX, four grandchildren, Matthew Clements of Savannah, GA, Steven Johnson (Gina) of Fishers, IN, Brandon Clements (Sarah) of Saint Simons Island, GA, and Alexandra Clements of Ponte Vedra, FL, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. All of these lives were deeply touched by her love and faith in Christ.

A private family burial was held at Bayview Memorial Park in Pensacola, FL and will be followed by a celebration of life for friends and family at a later date at Brownsville Church.
