Betty passed away peacefully in her sleep Monday October 12, 2015. Betty was a devoted Christian all her life and was a member of East Hill Church of Christ. She was a huge Doll lover and collector, a member of the Pensacola Doll Club for many happy years. She enjoyed watching movies and musicals from her era. She loved being a mom and homemaker, knitting and crocheting baby booties and blankets. Most of all she loved her children, all of them! In addition to raising four children of her own she loved and babysat for many starting at the age of 12 years old. They were all "Her babies"! She is survived by her husband Charles L Payne of 62 years, four children, Kathy Rogers (Kin), Steven Payne, Mark Payne and Ellen Benton (Mark), four grandchildren, Tyler Benton (Kayla), Jacob Benton, Gregory Benton and Rachel Benton. She will be welcomed into heaven by her beloved mother, Irene and her cousin, Doris who was like a sister to her along with various others that have proceeded in her death. Visitation will be from 2:00-3:00 PM, Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015 at BAYVIEW FISHER-POU CHAPEL & MEMORIAL PARK, 3351 Scenic Hwy 90e Pensacola, FL 32503. Graveside service will begin at 3 PM.
