I love the Wishum’s and had the privilege to worship with them for several years at the Eastgate congregation. Betty was always gentle and kind. A very elegant lady. She was a wonderful example of a Christian woman and preacher’s wife. I know how she was loved by brother Wishum. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Had the fortune of knowing the Wishum’s during our time working with the Dasher congregation in the early 70’s. Hollywood has it wrong—-the Wishum’s were the true Live Story. In the ears of my heart I can hear the trumpet sounding on the other side. She lived the abundant life & we rejoice in hope.

When Betty and Wishum came to Eastgate church of Christ it was such a privilege to get to know them. Betty’s sweet smile and humble attitude greeted me every Sunday and Wednesday night. I missed her so much when she And Wishum moved to Gulf breeze.
Wishum you will be in my prayers. I remember when you introduced yourself when you arrived at Eastgate you said to just call you Wishum. Betty will always have a special place in my heart as you will Wishum.
