1951 - 2014
Beverly Candice Diehl, went to her heavenly reward on Saturday, July 26, 2014.
Beverly was born in Amarillo, Texas on March 1, 1951 to father, Carl Arthur Balliett Jr. and mother, Mary Jane Griffin.
She and her family would later move to St. Louis, Mo where she would grow up, and eventually marry her childhood sweetheart and the love of her life Joseph Diehl, who had just joined the Navy. Having grown up together as kids, Joseph and Beverly began their new life together taking on all of the new challenges of a newly married couple plus the additional responsibilities and sacrifices that a Navy career sometimes demands of a wife, moving from base to base and to different countries around the world. A few years after their marriage, Beverly would be blessed with two sons spread over a five year period, both of whom she truly adored. Beverly worked tirelessly volunteering on base, managing or assisting with her sons’ sporting organizations, school PTA, and various fund raisers.
Beverly’s steady demeanor throughout her life, navigated the family forward as Joe retired from the Navy, the family moved back to the states, and he began his new career… she moved us forward when her eldest son went off to the Army, got married, returned from the Army and began his new career… and she moved us forward when she watched her second son graduate, begin his career, get married and then saw her first grandchildren. She was a truly very special wife and mother.
Sadly after a lengthy battle with Diabetes and COPD, Beverly had to leave us. She was blessed and went peacefully in her sleep.
Beverly is survived by her loving husband of 45 years Joseph Diehl, her eldest son Michael with his wife April, and her youngest son Bryan with his wife Chantel, and their children Cameron, Hunter and Amber.
