

Beverly Anne Countryman, 84, of Pensacola passed away peacefully on July 14, 2026, at Pruitt Health Pensacola, FL. Bev was born April 18, 1942, in Easton, Pennsylvania to John Jay Black and Alice G English. Beverly graduated from University of Toledo in 1965 with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics then proceeded to complete a dietetics residency at University of Cincinnati. She went on to practice as Registered Dietitian at Coshocton Memorial Hospital in Coshocton, OH for decades before moving to Pensacola, Florida. She continued her career at the Escambia County Health Department.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents John and Alice Black, brother Lee Black, and granddaughter Sydney Dobbs. Beverly is survived by her husband Jack Countryman, children Dave Sycks of Cincinnati, Debbie (Eric) Mathis of Heath, OH ; Dana( Jason) Dobbs of California, KY, along with her loving stepchildren, Mark (& Teresa) Countryman of Georgia, Pam (& Luiz) Diaz of Pensacola; Jack Countryman Jr of Mississippi, and Gary Countryman of Michigan. She leaves behind many grandkids, nieces and nephews as well. Bev is also survived by her brother Jay (& Leslie) Black of Utah, sister Barbara (& Joe) Fata of Pensacola, Fl and brother Casey (Tammy)Black of Utah.
Beverly lived a life of love and service. She was a Red Cross Swim Instructor for many years. She touched the lives of family and friends with her warmth and kindness. The family is sincerely grateful to Pruitt Health and especially Emerald Coast Hospice for their incredible support throughout this entire process. Bev’s funeral service will be Monday starting at 9:00 am for calling hours at Bayview Fisher - Pou Chapel 3351 Scenic Highway 90E Pensacola, Fl 32503 and service at 10:00 am. Immediately following will be the interment at the adjacent Bayview Memorial Park.
