Billy Kersh (80) broke his earthly bonds on May 22, 2020 at West Florida Hospital in-house Hospice. He passed peacefully in his sleep after a short illness. He was husband to his loving wife, Linda Gail. They shared 60 years of marriage together.
Billy was born in Itta Bena, MS. He was son of John Franklin and Edna Kersh. He resided for several years in Harvey, Louisiana before settling in Pensacola, Florida. He had a long career as a welder and, following retirement, he worked at Manheim Auto Auction. He was a member of the Ensley Masonic Lodge #15FAM and enjoyed riding his motorcycle with the Pensacola Sunrunners and the Emerald Coast Riders motorcycle clubs. He liked working with his hands, camping, watching westerns with his dog, Smokie, and playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a life-long teaser and hard- working man.
He is proceeded in death by his parents: John Franklin and Edna Kersh; siblings: Gradylee, Karon, Edward “Doc” Turnage, Leo, twin sister Betty; and grandson Michael Adam Steele.
He is survived by wife, Linda; sister, Zettieruth Nash; children: Christine (Mark), and Frank (Zarina); Grandchildren: Nichole (David) Boardwyne, Elisha (Apollo), Hensel, Anastasia and Jeremy Harden; Great-grandchildren: Samson, Willow, Ananiah Mae, and Eden Faith; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends are cordially invited to join the family for a visitation on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home from 10:00 am-12:00 pm, immediately followed by a service. Interment will follow at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens.
