Dwayne graduated in 1976 from Pensacola Christian High School, carrying forward a steady determination and a quiet pride in doing things the right way—qualities that would remain evident throughout his life.
Following in his dad’s footsteps, Dwayne built his working life as a sheet metal mechanic specializing in HVAC. He approached his trade with diligence and care, known for a strong work ethic and a willingness to give of himself—whether through a thoughtful gesture, a helping hand, or the kind of good-natured humor that could ease a hard day and bring people together.
Dwayne was preceded in death by his dad, Billy Ray Gipson; mother, Bobbie Katherine Willie Gipson; and one nephew, Richard Hunter.
Dwayne is survived by Denise Gipson; two daughters: DeAnn and LeAnn; two step-sons: Anthony (Kaitlin) Frederickson and Travis (Julie) Frederickson; eight grandchildren: Landon and Paisley; Dylan (Kireyanna), Brooke (Lane), Khloe`, Kooper, Kenzlee; and Ethan; siblings: Gordon Gipson, Donna (John) Trahan; and Darren Gipson; sixteen nieces and nephews; and numerous extended relatives and friends.
