Billy Clifford Herring, 81, of Pensacola, FL passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 18, 2015 in Pensacola. He was born to the late Archie Lee Paralee (nee: Howard) Herring on April 6, 1933 in Holman, Alabama. Serving honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict, he also worked for Quality Assurance for the U.S. Government. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 240, and the Elks. He enjoyed his Harley and always was so proud of the Military, and the Patriot Riders. Billy was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Louise Herring in 1995. He is survived by his son, Kevin Herring; 5 grandchildren, and his companion Joy Zolomy. Family will receive friends, Wednesday, March 25, 2015 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, 619 New Warrington Road, Pensacola, FL 850-453-2321 with Wayne Butts and American Legion Post 240 officiating. Final rest will follow to Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens, 1985 West Nine Mile, Pensacola, FL with Navy Honors.
