A native of Pensacola, Florida, Brenda attended Pensacola High School and Pensacola Junior College. In Pensacola, she met and fell in love with her lifelong husband, Mike and had a son Michael. Mike, a U.S. Army helicopter pilot and Vietnam Veteran, had a variety of posts, but they mostly lived in Ft. Benning, Georgia during his service. There she notably volunteered to support the An Lac Vietnamese orphan rescue. After the military they returned to Pensacola, where Brenda earned a paralegal degree at PJC. She worked for many years at the prestigious Levin & Askew law firm. Brenda also worked professionally in banking and real estate. Brenda and Mike retired in Cocoa, Florida, where they led an active life with their family and friends.
Brenda was a faithful and active member of the Catholic Church throughout her life. She enjoyed travelling. Some of her favorite spots were Paris, New Orleans, New York, and Hawaii. She was enamored by the work of Monet and travelled to France to visit his garden in Giverny. Brenda was known for her aesthetic eye and often called on for advice on decorating. She practiced the art of bonsai and played the piano. She enjoyed contributing to the beauty of the world.
She is survived by her son Michael R. Boswell II (Tammy Seale); three siblings, Royce Hall (Carol), Sharon Davis (Ken), and Randy Hall (Gayla); and numerous nephews, nieces, and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael R. Boswell, her mother, Muriel Hall, her father, WK Hall, and her favorite dog, Gypsy.
Brenda loved being a mother and an aunt (both officially and unofficially) and being in the lives of young people to nurture and support them. Her family and friends will never forget her laugh and the joy she brought into their lives.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 21, 2022, at 11 a.m., at St. Ann Catholic Church in Gulf Breeze. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park in Pensacola.
