Brenda is survived by her children, CoCo Howell (Russ Horseman) of Inlet Beach, FL, Clayton Linkous (Kathy) of Gulf Breeze, FL, and Chad Linkous (Maurene) of Pensacola, FL; brother Wayne Ivey (Michal) of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren Christopher Howell (Stephanie), Jason Howell (Ashley), Weston Howell, Benjamin Linkous, Allison Linkous, Samuel Linkous, and Preston Ivey.
Great-grandchildren Easton Howell, Savannah Howell, Kade Howell, Lexie Howell, and Logan Howell.
She was preceded in death by her father John Madison Ivey and mother Irene Norred Ivey.
Brenda was born Brenda Joyce Ivey on June 5, 1941 in Century, FL. She graduated from Pensacola High School in 1959.
Brenda was a very spirited and strong-willed woman who always helped those in need. She was an entrepreneur who was featured in many Pensacola newspaper and magazine articles.
She founded Pensacola’s first art gallery, BJ Galleries LTD, in the 1970's. Brenda was an excellent cook who assisted her mother in operating The Lakeside Inn restaurant in Beulah, FL and shared her good cooking in festivals throughout the south. Her many professional accomplishments included working as a realtor, interior designer, and an armored car driver for the Bank of Pensacola. She was also the Events Coordinator for Holiday Beach Resort in Destin, FL. Traveling, skiing, hunting, fishing, and gardening were some of the many recreational activities she enjoyed.
Services for Brenda will be held Wednesday, August 4, 2021 in Pensacola, FL at Bayview Fisher–Pou Chapel at 3351 Scenic Highway #90E, Pensacola, FL 32503. Visitation will be at 11:00 am, followed by a memorial at 12:00.
