

Bruce Lee Flick of Pensacola, FL passed away on Saturday 4.19.2025 at the age of 76. He was born on 12.27.1948 in Nazareth, PA where he grew up. He started running competitively in middle school and was recognized for his achievements in track and field in high school and college. In 1970 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he was a ground support electrician, stationed in Pensacola. On December 4, 1971, he married his high school sweetheart, Bonnie in Bethlehem, PA.
After he was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1974, Bruce and Bonnie decided to make Pensacola their home.
He graduated from Nazareth High School and Millersville University in Pennsylvania where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Arts.
He worked as a Graphic Arts teacher at Pine Forest High School when the school opened in 1975. His love of soccer began with self-tutorials, leading to competitive play with Pensacola International. This led to coaching both boys and girls programs at youth recreational, competitive travel and high school levels. He coached boys and girls JV/V at Woodham High School, and he started the girls program at Pine Forest, where he taught. He was at Pine Forest until he retired in 2010.
Cycling and Soccer were his favorite hobbies. He was an avid cyclist, racing competitively in both mountain biking and road cycling. He never missed a day to ride his bike, unless it rained! He loved spending time with family and watching his grandson Noah grow up. He could have a conversation with anyone and could always make you laugh. Running into his students around town was always meaningful to him, and he loved sharing stories with everyone he met.
He is preceded in death by his parents Donald and Catherine Renner, and his in-laws Calvin and Charlotte Nicholas.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie, and his two children Joshua and Amanda.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at 10:00 am and a service at 11:00 am at Grace Lutheran Church on Friday, 4/25/2025 at 6601 N. 9th Ave, Pensacola FL, 32504
Private burial service for immediate family will follow at Bayview Fisher Pou.
