

Carolyn Alzata Maclin also Lovingly known to family and friends as “Carrie” was born to the union of the late Otis T. and Gloria Rahming on May 8, 1951 in Key West Florida. On October 12, 2021 God saw fit for Heaven to gain its Newest Angel to rest eternally in His arms.
Carrie Attended and graduated from Key West High School on June 11, 1971. Carrie was raised in Key West Florida and began working for Boca Chica Naval Air Station. In 1973, she met her soul mate Kirk D Maclin, who was serving in the United States Air Force and stationed at Boca Chica.
Kirk and Carrie were united in Holy Matrimony on November 4, 1975. From this union two Beautiful children were born.
Carrie toured the world with her Devoted husband, which included Hawaii, Germany, Alaska, Homestead and finally retiring at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. She found her career with the Eglin AFB commissary. She was employed with the commissary for 28+ years before retiring in 2014.
Carrie accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was a faithful member of Praise, Power and Compassion Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Darrell and First Lady Lula Coleman, before battling illnesses in 2016. She enjoyed Ushering, Singing in the Choir, and Praise and Worship Service. Furthermore, Carrie enjoyed singing with the Daughters of Zion at the Eglin Air Force Base Chapel. She loved dancing for the Lord and was well known for her “swing and snapping her fingers.”
Carrie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed Singing, Dancing, Cooking, Cleaning and having a Good Time. She had a beautiful smile that truly shined when she did what she loved.
Carrie is predeceased by her Parents; Otis T. and Gloria Rahming; Her Beloved Daughter; I’esha Rochelle Stevenson; Her Loving Brothers; Otis Jr., Leander and Kenneth Rahming; As well as her Loving Sisters; Nellie, Barbara, Ruth, Eartha and Orelia.
Carrie’s precious memories and legacy will continue to live on through her Loving Husband Kirk Damone Maclin, Sr, her only Son “her boy” Kirk Damone Maclin II (Amanda), four adorable grandchildren; Mikayla and Melena Stevenson, Cameron and Caidence Maclin; Two Brothers Arthur and Alfred Rahming; A Special and Loving Sister in Law; Karen Antoinette “Toni” Harris who was more like a daughter, who traveled the world with her and was there for her from the beginning to the end. Three additional Sisters- in-Law; Kim, Gigi, Patti; Two Brothers-in-Law: Chaz (Kea) and Derrick (Ann) Ingram.
Carrie also leaves to Mourn many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and a Host of Friends and extended family included but not limited to her Church Family.
Carrie was Loved and will truly be missed by all.
A visitation for Carolyn will be held Friday, October 22, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Praise Power and Compassion Ministries, 2188 James Lee Blvd (Highway 90), Crestview, FL 32536. A funeral service will occur Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM at Praise Power and Compassion Ministries, 2188 James Lee Blvd (Highway 90), Crestview, FL 32536.
