Carolyn Bracewell Reeves, 68, of Pensacola, Florida, passed peacefully at home on Monday, January 14, 2013 with her loving family by her side. Carolyn was born April 15, 1944, in Pensacola to the late Foster and Jewell Bracewell.
She graduated from Pensacola High School and retired from Monsanto after 38 years of service. Carolyn was enjoying her retirement by travelling, golfing, was in different clubs, and loved gardening. She was genuine and devoted to her church, Unity of Pensacola, for over 20 years.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her brothers Lamar and Kendrick Bracewell, sister-in-law Barbara Bracewell, nephews Kenny and Tim Bracewell. She is survived by her daughter Misty Holifield, two grandchildren Clayton and Ashlee Harvey of Mobile, Alabama, brothers Charles Bracewell of Lakeland, Florida, Ronne (Linda) Bracewell of Bunnell, Florida, sisters Yvonne (Sidney) Hahn and Becky Bracewell, both of Pensacola and ex-husband Terry Reeves of Pensacola., sixteen nieces and nephews and their families, aunt, uncle, numerous cousins and friends. We have been blessed to share life with her and will keep her in our hearts always.
Pallbearers will be Steven Bracewell, Steven Carrow, Michael Bracewell, Richard Bracewell, Jeremy Bracewell, Brandon Beecher, and Geric Fatheree.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 17, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. for family and friends at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel located at 3351 Scenic Highway. Funeral services will be Friday, January 18, 2013 at 2 P.M. at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with Reverend Jamie Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
The family would like to express their deep gratitude to Covenant Hospice. To honor Carolyn's memory the family suggests memorial contributions to be made to Covenant Hospice of Milton, Florida, 5907 Berryhill Road, Milton, Florida, 32570.
BAYVIEW FISHER-POU CHAPEL, 3351 Scenic Highway, is entrusted with arrangements.

I met Carolyn through the Red Hat Regal Redtop group, the bunco ladies and the travel club. Just saw this obit as I do not take the paper anymore. My prayers to Terry and all the family. She is now in no pain.

On behalf of the Panhandle Senior Travelers (the travel club Carolyn and Terry created) we all have so many fond memories of the trip taken. They provided all of us with opportunities many of us would never had. Our thoughts and prayers are with Carolyn, her family and Terry and his family.

I meet Carolyn while as an usher at the Saenger Theatre, joined her Bunko group, Red Hats and travel club. She was an inspiration to who knew her. She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
