Carter G. Hawkins Sr.

Carter Gene Hawkins Sr, 82, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family February 18, 2023. He was the loving husband of Marialyce. He was born in Ft. Mill, South Carolina. Son of John and Mary Evelyn Hawkins.

Carter was a retired Master Sergeant, United States Air Force with 28 years of service. He began his photography career in the military. After retirement he opened Images Modeling Agency where years later he met his future wife of 14 years, Marialyce. Carter was a talented painter, a fixer of things, and a collector of curiosities. Carter cherished spending time with his wife. They traveled yearly to the Smokey Mountains and they enjoyed going out to eat. He was an excellent Paw-Paw that had 2 grandsons that absolutely adored him.

Carter is survived by his wife Marialyce C Hawkins, son Doug Driggers, daughter in law Tracy Driggers, grandsons Taylor and Jaxon Driggers, brothers in law- Ken Oakes, Bill Gill, Ralph Gill, and Steven Gill. He was also survived by his son Carter Jr and daughter Jennifer from a previous marriage.

A Visitation for Carter will be held Friday, February 24, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, 1985 West Nine Mile Road, Pensacola, FL 32534, followed by a Funeral Service with Military Honors from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
