

Charlie worked as a chemical operator for Monsanto/Solutia for over 30 years after serving in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He married his wife Sandy in 1973, and the two shared over 46 years of life together until her passing in 2019. He was a loving husband, a dedicated father, and a beloved Papa. He never met a stranger and was always quick to lend a hand.
Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy Barker, parents Arley and Beulah Barker, brother Albert Barker, and half-sister Rosalee Roberts.
He will always be remembered by his sons Charles R. “Casey” (Melanie) Barker, Jr. and Jason (Ruthie) Barker; his grandchildren, Natalie, Elliette, Andrew, and Daphne Barker; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A celebration of Charlie’s life will be held at Heights Baptist Church, Pensacola, on December 28, 2021, with visitation at 10:00 AM and the funeral at 11:00 AM. Rev. Brian Nott will officiate. A brief graveside service will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
