Major Charles P. Folsom, USAF (Ret.)

Charles was born January 09, 1944 in Washington D.C. to Kenneth P. Folsom and Dorothy Love Folsom. He was a member of Calvary Methodist Church in Arlington, VA. Charles received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Emory & Henry College in 1965 and his Master of Science Degree in 1976 from Troy University. In 1968, Charles joined the U. S. Air Force from which he retired after 20 years of service. After retiring from the Air Force, Charles taught Science at Booker T. Washington High School for two years. In 1990, he became an Adjunct Instructor of Mathematics and Science at Pensacola Junior College in the Adult Basic Education Department, then in 1993 took the position of Mathematics Instructor in the Developmental Studies Department. Charles was a member of the Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society in Education, Air Force Association, Laubach Literary Association, Learn to Read of Northwest Florida, National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the PJC Academy of Teaching Excellence.

He is survived by his sister, Nancy F. Mitchell of Jacksonville, FL and her two sons, Christopher and Gregory; and his brother, Dr. Kenneth J. Folsom of Boca Raton, FL and his children and grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 07, 2015 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel.

Inurnment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
