

2021. He was the beloved husband of Dolores E. Daniels. Born in Mobile, Alabama, he was the
son of the late Chester and Marie Daniels. Chester was a Vietnam Veteran, he served from
1966-1970. After getting out of the military, he worked for the Department of Defense,
followed by working for the Escambia County Sherriff’s Office until his retirement.
Chester is survived by his wife Dolores (Skippy) Daniels. His loving son Gary and wife Wendy
Daniels. Chester is also a cherished grandfather and great grandfather, also known as “Pop,” to
grandchildren Brandi and her husband Jeremy Salvatore; along with their two children, Warren
and Gabriella. Stephen and his wife, Lindsay Daniels. Chester was the brother of DeNeese and
her husband Frank Harrell, brother-in-law of David Miller and wife Jeanette Miller, and brother
of the late Lydia Miller. He was also brother in arms to the late Dan Daugherty, whom he served
in Vietnam with. He was an uncle to nieces and nephews as well.
Chester was a kind, strong, and loving husband, brother, father, uncle, grandfather, and greatgrandfather.
He took pride in his family and enjoyed spending time with them. His devotion and
selflessness to his family was unfathomable. He enjoyed family dinners, fishing, and creating
projects from scratch. He also had a passion for aircrafts and U.S. History. He was proud of his
skillset that he obtained while serving in the military. Chester was involved in the restoration
and rebuilds on multiple types of aircrafts such as planes and helicopters. These very aircrafts
have been displayed in the N.A.S. Museum. Knowledgeable on almost anything, he could help
out in any situation. For anyone who knew him, he lived by the quote from Teddy Roosevelt.
“Speak softly and carry a big stick; you will go far.”
Funeral arrangements will be held at Eastern Gate Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 1985
E 9 Mile Rd, Pensacola, FL 32534. Followed by an escort to Barrancas National Cemetery for full
Military Honors on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial
