My whole family loved Rev. Abbott. We were fairly new in Tallassee when you arrived. My parents were Helen and Travis Fincher.  He confirmed me and I can still recall specific things he the taught me. My husband and I retired back to Tallassee years ago and I think of a very fond memory every Sunday. During the pastoral prayer, I still look down to the alter and can see him kneeling there with his head bowed praying for us. I have never seen anyone do that since. It is very special. I pray that God will hold all of you in His arms during this time.

My husband, Ben Nichols, loved Preacher Abbot and has fond memories of him when the Abbots lives in Tallassee, Al.  They played dominoes together,  as part of the Tallassee domino club. I am so pleased that we got to St. Luke about two years ago to visit briefly with Preacher Abbot and his wife.
Also, my aunt and uncle, Ray and Audrey Jeffcoat from Opp, Alabama had so much fun on the trips they took, led by Preacher Abbot.  A Godly man, loved by many.

My prayers are with the entire family.
We loved Rev. Abbott so much, that we named our Sunday School class after him at the First United Methodist Church in Marianna, Fl.

I stopped by to visit Mr and Mrs Abbott and learned of his passing.My heart goes out to Mrs Abbott and the family.Mr.Abbott was a wonderful person.It was a joy in knowing him.May God Bless all off you.

Another Giant among us has moved into the nearer presence of Our Heavenly Father.

Mrs. Abbott and family, please know my thoughts and prayers are with you. l have many fond memories of the Abbott family at Enterprise First United Methodist Church. God has welcomed home a faithful servant!

Brother Abbott did my mom's funeral service years back and I thank him so much.  He has been a inspiration to many and I am so thankful to have had to opportunity to hear him preach. My dad (Bill Lewis) has had close ties with Brother Abbott and he's been a inspiration to my dad. God Bless the family during this time.
