Colby was an accomplished photographer who has been showcased in a number of publications. Not only was photography his chosen profession, Colby was connected to so many people. Colby served this grateful nation by enlisting within the U.S. NAVY. When he departed from the Navy, Colby went into auto sales and even though he was good at it, Colby found it unsatisfying. He used his GI Bill for photography school, leading Colby to the discovery of his true passion.
Upon Colby and his wife Roxanne leaving Oklahoma he was able to connect his passion to hundreds of people. Colby never met a stranger – a stranger was a friend he just hadn’t met yet. He will be remembered by the special and wonderful ways everyone was made to feel even though Colby didn’t feel his work was ever good enough. Colby was always looking for ways to improve the works of his creation.
Left to cherish Colby’s memories will be his beloved wife; Roxanne Willett, his parents: Jimmy and Joyce Rogers, two sisters: Shannon and Crystal along with extended family member and a host of wonderful friends.
Memorial may be made to honor Colby Ray Willett to our local Pensacola Animal Shelters.
The family would like to extend their warmest gratitude towards Brie Lybrand, Stephan Javaheri, Kellie Jo, Joe Skinner, Kaci McCracken-Scruggs, Sierra Brannon and so many others who made a difference in Colby’s life, you know who you are.
