Conley "Skip" Dean Headrick was born in Mullen, Nebraska to Ernest and Jennie Headrick. He called Mullen home until he completed school. After completing his studies, he served a brief stint in the Idaho National Guard. Upon leaving the National Guard, he decided to see the world and joined the Navy. He served his country from 1951-1954 aboard the USS Randolf. After his service, Skip made his way to Florida, which would become his new home. He started a job at the newly built Chemstrand Plant where he would retire after 30+ years. He would go on to marry (twice). He has 6 children, 9 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. He also found a home in Bible Baptist Church under the direction of Peter S. Ruckman. He became very dedicated to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He dedicated his time after retirement to helping out around the church and book store. He also became the snack man, providing snacks to the students at the school during breaks. In all, he spent nearly 50 years in service to his Lord and his church. We love him and miss him but we are all happy for him. He has reached his ultimate goal. Rest in peace, dad. We love you.
