Connie Sue (Hook) Chappell, was born on September 11, 1942 to Jesse Keith and Wilma Leona (Cox) Hook in Wayne County, Iowa. She departed this life to meet her Lord and Savior on September 16, 2026, at the age of 84.
She was united in holy matrimony on May 28, 1967 to the late Robert Freeman Chappell, and to this union three children were born: Todd Freeman Chappell and Barry Keith Chappell of Pensacola, Florida, and Tonya Sue Demirgian of Elkton, Maryland.
She worked for many years as a senior customer service representative for ABeka books. One of her favorite past times was flea marketing and Sudoku puzzles. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her family was her joy, but she was known to everyone for her gentle spirit and care of others.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Freeman Chappell and her granddaughter Karissa Demirgian.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Todd Freeman and Jadine Chappell, Barry Keith and Ruth Ann Chappell, and Tonya Sue and Edward Demirgian Jr; her grandchildren, Shelby Chappell, David Chappell, Jessica Chappell, Christina Chappell, Joshua Chappell, Caleb Chappell, Victoria Demirgian Yates, Nathanael Demirgian, Seth Demirgian, and Moriah Demirgian; and her great grandson, Judah Yates.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00p.m. on September 22, 2026, at the Mullenix Chapel. The family will receive guests one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens.
