Sunday morning August 11th, 2024 Curtis Williams slipped away into heaven. The one he had seen more than 70 years ago dressed in brilliant white light, who assured him he would come home from that Korean battlefield; now appeared again, and this time brought him home - really home, forever.
The years in between these two meetings were filled with what he called "a good life". He met and married Dolly Lord Williams, his faithful wife and companion for 67 years, and had one daughter, Karen Goodman.
Curtis retired from the Escambia County Road and Prison department having through his many years worked in several capacities such as heavy equipment operator, driver, prison guard, and road supervisor.
In 1971 he became a licensed minister of the Pentecostal Holiness Church. Ordained in July 1973, Curtis Pastored eight churches within the Alabama conference before his retirement. His last pastorate was Antioch Pentecostal Holiness Church where he served for 22 years.
Fix it man for everybody, determined, proud veteran, friend, preacher beloved uncle and Daddy will be greatly missed by us all.
