Tootie passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She was a lifelong resident of Pensacola, Florida. She was the last surviving child of Emma and Fletcher Quarrier of Pensacola, Florida.
Tootie was preceded in death by her husband Guy Douglas Durant Sr., her parents Emma and Fletcher Quarrier, her six sisters Mrs. Anita Dean, Mrs. Nell Pfeiffer, Mrs. Lela Langlois, Mrs. Mina Durant, Mrs. Jane Moloney and Mrs. Jean Oldmixon Elpers, her brother Mr. Fletcher (Brother-Man) Quarrier, and her beloved daughter-in-law Frances Durant.
She is survived by her loving children Mr. Douglas Durant Jr. (Marge), Mr. Phillip Durant, Mrs. Deborah Stewart (George), Mrs. Rebecca Lalas (Billy), Mrs. Susie Broxson (Gary), and Mr. Joseph Durant (Tracey) and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, as well as multitudes of nieces and nephews.
Her family would like to extend a special thank you to her nieces Mrs. Linda MacFarland and Ms. Cherry Fowler for their loving kindness during her illness as well as her longtime physician Dr. Ross Robbins for his kind and compassionate care.

Tooties visitation will be Thur. Oct. 25 from 10-11 am at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, followed by her Funeral Service at 11 am and a catered reception after. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Tootie’s name to Covenant Care Hospice.
