My condolences to the Smith family. May God carry you in this time of need. I had the pleasure of working with Dale on a few solar projects in TX. I will remember him as a man so full of energy, ambition, and dedication, that it was contagious. You will be missed bud. Rest in paradise.

You will be greatly missed my friend! I am devastated to hear of this news and wish I would have gotten more time to get to know you even better but I know you are in a better place than this world now as much as we all wish you were still here. I loved and enjoyed seeing you and talking to you in the gym in the mornings and that will always stick near and dear to my heart. You were a very passionate person in everything you did and you impacted me with that! I loved hearing about your stories you told me about your wonderful family!

Dale, remember on the Crane Solar Project when COVID-19 hit and the communal coffee pot was removed from the main Mortenson trailer? After that happened I would come over to your office every day to bum a k-cup off you and we would drink coffee together and talk about life for an hour. It was the highlight of the day for me and you taught me a lot about life during those times. You were a hard a$$, but I will miss you man!

He and Brittney sat next to us at church, First Odessa, in Odessa, Texas, the last time he would ever be there.  We were looking forward to getting to know him and Brittney better this New Year. May he rest in peace.

So sorry see such a strong spirit pass away. Will always remember Dale for his positive determination and mannerisms. 

The pictures here remind me of how I always saw Dale. He was always laughing and had that twinkle in his eye. He was always kind and respectful to me and at his mom‘s 80th birthday, he and his wife went out of their way to be sure I was comfortable and served. Dale I hate that you’re gone; I hope you’re happy in heaven
