Danny Jay Woods

Danny Jay Woods, 50, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2026. Born on December 24, 1975, in Pensacola, Danny grew up in the place he called home and carried with him a spirit that was generous, creative, and full of heart.

Danny had a gift for bringing his personality into everything he did. He loved playing guitar, drawing, playing poker, fishing, and cooking for the people around him. An excellent cook and a dreamer at heart, Danny once hoped to fix up a sailboat and sail around the world.

Those who knew Danny best will remember his big heart most of all. He cared deeply in his own way, and his family and friends will hold on to the moments they shared with him. In the months before his passing, Danny was able to meet his first grandchild, a special blessing that brought joy to him and his family.

Danny was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Paul Woods, and his daughter, Leah Madelyn Woods.

He is survived by his children, Sarah Woods, Aaron Woods, and Darian Woods; his grandson, Asher Alan Artist; his mother, Diane Lee and stepfather, Kenneth Lee; his sister, Suezette Brown; his brother, Joey Woods; and many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends who loved him.

Family and friends will be invited to gather for a private Celebration of Life, with details to be shared once arrangements are finalized. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Danny’s memory to an animal rescue organization of your choice.
