

Born in Ramer, Tennessee, Dave was the son of George E. Knight and Fannie Jane Knight. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army. Following his military service, he owned and operated several businesses including Knight’s Chevron and Five Star Automotive in Pensacola, Florida.
Dave was a devoted member of Little Flower Catholic Church and a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed tinkering with old lawnmowers and cars, fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, and watching Gunsmoke. He will be remembered for his dry sense of humor, extensive knowledge of automobiles, history, and the Pacific Islands. His jokes, teasing, and storytelling will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his daughters, Felicia A. Marlow (Dennis), Vivian K. Bruder (Paul), and Marisha K. LeMay (Michael); grandchildren, Danielle Miners (Patrick), Michael Wayne LeMay (Megan), Elizabeth Knight (Henry), Austin Vieitez, Amanda Vieitez, Serena Bruder, Paul Bruder Jr., Anna Knight, Myra LeMay, Luke Bruder, Victoria Bruder, and Emma Knight; and great-grandchildren, Gabe, Sophia, Mason, and Brooke. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Rita; parents, George and Fannie Jane; his brothers George Jr. and Tommy; his son, Vincent; and grandson, David
A Funeral Mass will be held on June 17, 2026, at 12:00 noon at Little Flower Catholic Church, followed by interment at Barrancas National Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on June 16, 2026, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home.
Flowers are welcome. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Little Flower Catholic Church.
