Dawn attended Tate High School and her love of music blossomed, playing both the clarinet in the Tate High School marching band and the oboe in the symphonic orchestra. She was a member of the Beta Club. After graduation, she attended Pensacola Junior College, the University of Florida and graduated from the University of West Florida with a degree in marketing. Dawn worked in retail sales. One of her favorite pastimes was reading.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Harry & Grace Casey, Lucille Stodola and Leonard Bauer; Aunts Rita Schmidt & SanDee Casey and an Uncle, James Bauer.
Survivors include her parents, Ron & Rose Bauer; sons, Lorenz, Harrison and Evan Hohlenkamp; a brother Ronnie Bauer; aunts & uncles; John Casey, Cape Girardeau, MO; Mary Giedinghagen, St. Louis, MO; Bob & Betty Bauer, Oklahoma City, OK; Bill & Shirley Bauer, Sioux Falls, SD; Gus & Mary Frics, Omaha, NE.
Father Dominic Phan Sa will hold a memorial Mass on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic church, 401 Van Pelt. Interment will follow in Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
