Deborah Lynne Shell passed away January 6, 2016, surrounded by her family and friends. Born to Claudia B. Shell and Robert W. Shell, she is survived by her daughter, Shannon C. Shell; her brother, Floyde W. Shell (Dana); her nephew, Benjamin T. Shell (Ginger); and her mother, Claudia Shell. Debbie dedicated her life to caring for others as a school nurse at various Pensacola schools and, for more than twenty years, as a case manager at the Pensacola Naval Hospital. She loved spending time with her family, her friends, her garden, and her many pets. She never let a year go by without a tree decorated for Christmas and never let a serviceman without a family spend a holiday alone. Her table always had room for one more. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 1 PM at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Patrick Brady and Elder Michael Stacy officiating. Interment will follow in Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please donate to one of her beloved charities: Hope Lodge, World Wildlife Federation, St. Jude's, Pensacola Waterfront Mission or your local Humane Society.
