Deena Michelle Zimmerman

Deena Michelle Halstead Zimmerman unexpectedly left us on Monday May 28, 2018. Deena was born on April 16, 1973 in "Alabama Dothan". Deena was many things to many friends and family members but she was one thing to all of us, a ray of "Sunshine". She graduated from Spruce Creek High School, Daytona Beach, FL in 1991 and insisted on giving a speech at graduation to represent "the other 80%" of her graduating classmates. She was honored with a standing ovation. A great testament to her fearless spirit. She went on to become an RN where she touched the lives of so many with her gentle caring and sweet laughter. She had a calling. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Harold Hilton Halstead and her maternal grandparents Roswell & Herberta Jennings Barnes. She is survived by her parents Dean & Robyn Halstead of Pensacola, FL and Debra & Chris Matthews of Marianna, FL, children Madison Nicole & Mason Cole Zimmerman of Pensacola, FL, paternal grandmother Marie Hope Halstead of Pensacola, FL, , brother Michael Shane Halstead(Tammi) of Panama City, FL, sister Tara Marie Halstead of Pensacola, FL, brother Will C. Green IV(Sarah) of Pensacola, FL, sister Valerie Nicole "Nikki" Manges(David) of Iwakuni, Japan and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Do not cry I've not said goodbye I'm a thousand grains of sand I am the sea that kisses the shore I am the sun that shines on your face I am the soft summer rain A caressing ocean breeze Come stand upon the beach to visit me I am here I always will be. The service will be held at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, Scenic Hiway, Pensacola, FL on Thursday June 7, 2018 at 3pm. Pastor Wes Alvarez of My Fathers Vineyard will officiate.
