She was predeceased by her parents; husbands, Epsy “Red” McConnell and Charles DeCoursey; sisters, W. Nell Jordan, M. Helen Locklier and brother J. Marion Locklier; son, Gary W. McConnell and stepson, Stan DeCoursey.
She is survived by her sister, “Pete” Ellie P. Lowrey, grandsons, Gary McConnell and Blakley McConnell, nieces and nephews, and stepson, Russ DeCoursey.
Della enjoyed working outside cultivating her flowers and plants, creating a beautiful landscape at her home in South Carolina. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, crafting and spending time with her sister, Pete, and other family and friends. She enjoyed music and singing, especially traditional hymns, and singing in the choir at church.
She worked for BellSouth/AT&T in Pensacola for 25 years as a Drafts person and engineering assistant.
Della lived in South Carolina for a number of years before moving back to Pensacola in 2010.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. Della will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Greenville, South Carolina on Friday, August 23, 2024 at 3:00 PM.
