Don was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He graduated from PHS in 1956 and worked for 30 years as a Corrosion Engineer for Tennessee Gas Pipeline, where he tested coatings for land based and offshore pipelines. He was also a member of The National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) for 25 years. Don taught classes and developed procedural manuals for pipeline coating inspections.
Don was an active member of the Episcopal church in both Houston, Texas and Pensacola, Florida where he served as senior warden, lay minister director and search committee chairman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James F. Beaumont Sr. and Ada Cobb Beaumont and his brother, James F. Beaumont.
Don is survived by wife of 59 years, Beverly Beaumont; sons, Donald R. Beaumont Jr. (Tiffini), James M. Beaumont; daughter, Ellen Beaumont Daniel (Greg); and four grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings; Kenneth Beaumont (Sherry), Gary Beaumont (Catherine), Kirk S. Beaumont (Cindy) and Susan Waskey.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, January 31, 2020 at St. John's Episcopal Church. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 am, with a reception to follow.
The family has entrusted Oak Lawn Funeral Home with the arrangements.
