Doris Kenyon Russo

1921 – 2013

Mrs. Russo died peacefully, August 04, 2013 at Joyce Goldenberg Hospice Residence.

Mrs. Russo has made her home in Pensacola since 1952. For many years she was associated with Pensacola Greyhound Racing and Key West Kennel Club where she served as manager. She was actively involved with her son in the bar business until recently. Working was her first love; she really never retired in her heart. She encouraged and supported many people throughout her life. Mrs. Russo will be greatly missed. Many of her family and friends preceded her in death including her husband, Andrew J. Russo.

She is survived by one son, Andrew K. Russo and two daughters, Nancy Glodek (Joe) and Penny Walker (Spud) of Pensacola. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Kristal Medlin (Darryl), Kristopher Walker, Andrea Russo and Andrew Russo; three great grandchildren, Nolan, Evan and Ethan Medlin.

Mrs. Russo was very grateful to her daughter, Penny, for the excellent care and love she gave her as well as anyone who assisted in her care.

Thank you to Baptist Hospital personnel, OMNI Health Care and Covenant Hospice for all of their kind and loving support.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 07, 2013 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel.

Interment will be held at Bayview Memorial Park.

FISHER-POU CHAPEL, 3351 Scenic Highway is entrusted with arrangements.
