Dylan was born on September 13, 1976 to John and Gillian (Riddle) Reed. He graduated from Washington High School in Pensacola, Fla., and went on to enjoy a career with the Department of Defense.
Dylan had a love for animals and reptiles, and they seemed to sense his kind soul—he was always finding a stray cat or rescuing snakes from a neighbor’s yard. Dylan cared deeply for his family, particularly his mom and dad. He loved watching Red Sox and Patriot games with his dad and helping his mom with her gardening and holiday decorations. Dylan was known for his quick wit, intelligence, selflessness, cooking skills, great taste in music, and handsome smile. He was a loyal brother and friend who would always put the needs of others before his own.
Dylan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jack and Isabel Reed and maternal grandparents, Lindsay and Patricia Riddle. He is survived by his mother, father, and sister Alexa.
A service will be held on Monday, December 10 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home at noon. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to a cause close to Dylan’s heart—the Wildlife Sanctuary of Northwest Florida.
