Earl S. Barker

The family of Earl S. Barker is heartbroken to announce his passing on June 4th, at the young age of 62. Earl was born in San Diego, California to Ed and Gerri Barker. He was right in the middle of the five Barker kids; Mike and Doug – the older brothers – and Sherri and Jeb – the younger sister and brother.

“Island boy” was his moniker to our family. He lived for the outdoors, whether it was surfing, kite surfing, fishing or just simply working in his yard; his spirit could not be contained by four walls. His sense of humor and his infectious laugh were as big as the sunshine he left on everyone’s heart. He loved his family with everything he had. His wife, Pam, and daughter, Elyse, were his whole life. When he talked about Elyse, he was always so full of pride in the young lady that she has become and all that she has accomplished thus far. His wife, Pam, was the center of his world and reason for being. Though we miss him deeply, we know his pain is no more.

Earl is survived by his beloved wife, Pam; daughter, Elyse; brothers: Mike (Leigh) Barker and Doug Barker; sister, Sherri (Kevin) Born; along with countless nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Gerri; and younger brother, Jeb Barker.

We love you, Earl. May you forever ride the waves! Till we see you again!
