

Edgar Harmon Trittschuh Master Chief USN Retired, 80, Pensacola, Florida went to be with the lord on April 13, 2020. He was with family and in the care of Covenant Care staff of West Florida. He was born February 21, 1940. Edgar was born in West Jefferson Ohio. Son of Paul (Red) Trittschuh and Virginia Katherine Trittschuh (Brown). He grew up in Versailles, Ohio. He was an Eagle Scout like his brother. He graduated from Versailles High School in 1958. He joined the United States Navy where he served faithfully for 30 years as Aviation Fire Control Technician (AQ). He married Elsie Kathleen Wallace June 16, 1962, and was married more than 57 years. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Pensacola where he served as an usher and served on the church council for several years. He served as Assistant Scoutmaster/Scoutmaster for the Church sponsored Boy Scout Troop (408). After retirement he worked as a volunteer coach at Booker T. Washington High School where all four of his children participated in academic and athletic activities. He rejoined several of his fellow Chiefs in working for V.S.E. for a brief but prosperous time. He spent much time traveling and watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow. He was preceded in death by his father Paul, mother Virginia and Great granddaughter Ruby Rose Morrison. He is survived by his wife Elsie (Kathy), four children Katherine Ann Morrison (Mark), Kevin John Trittschuh, Karen Arlene Trittschuh (Michael McCulley) and Keith Edgar Trittschuh, siblings Kay Holfinger (Dave) and Roberta Beyer (Carl) and Paul Trittschuh. He also leaves behind four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A service will be conducted April 22, 2020. Due to current world events, this will be for immediate family only. We will have a Memorial Service with Military honors at a later date and will invite all who wish to attend. We would ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Parkinson Foundation Florida (200 SE 1st Street Suite 800 Miami Florida 33131). All of his expanded family wish to take a moment to thank Covenant Care in Pensacola for making his last days comfortable.
