Beloved husband of Donna, loving father to Holly (Derek), Kyle (Rebekah), and James (Sparrow), dear brother to Randall (Hae Jong), Beverly, and Keri (deceased), as well as a proud grandfather to Holly and Derek’s children: Preston, Scarlett, and Sebastian; and James and

He carried on the proud tradition of military service of both his father, and older brother. He served in the Army from 1976-1982, earning the rank of Captain and serving as a tank platoon leader. His career post-military ranged from building homes in Houston and Atlanta, to the tourism industry in Macon, GA, Jekyll Island, GA, Pensacola, FL, and Fort Walton
Beach/Destin, FL. He also worked briefly with Marcus Pointe Golf Course in Pensacola, then retired from the career field as a furniture repair franchise owner with Weathersby Guild.
He was a devoted Christian who led his family to follow and serve Christ, through loving God and loving others - his generosity and care for others has inspired many and was a pillar of his faith. His family has attended Olive Baptist Church in Pensacola since moving to the area in
January 2000.
