Edwin T. H. Hansen, 50, transitioned to his Heavenly home on August 24, 2026. Born January 13, 1976, Edwin’s life was marked by steady purpose, quiet strength, and a sincere devotion to the people he held dear.
From an early age, Edwin embraced the values of service. As an active Eagle Scout, he found genuine joy in scouting and especially treasured the summer camps of his childhood. In high school, he brought a similar commitment to the tennis court as a member of his school’s tennis team, graduating from Booker T. Washington High School with the Class of ’94.
After high school, Edwin joined the United States Marine Corp and served two terms in Djibouti, Africa. He valued his time in the military and carried with him, throughout his life. With a lasting respect for the service and a hope of returning to it.
Edwin earned his Bachelor’s degree at Georgia Tech, and later worked for many years as a construction engineer.
Above all, Edwin loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Grace Lutheran in Pensacola. His faith provided a steady foundation and remained a guiding presence throughout his life.
Edwin is survived by his son, Aidan Edwin Hansen; parents, Edwin L. Hansen Jr. and Susan Johnson Hansen; and a cousin, Erik Hansen. He is preceded in passing by his grandparents and great-grandfather, Hans T. Hansen - known by many as the Pensacola Harbor Master.
Visitation will be held on August 29, 2026 at 12:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, 3351 Scenic Highway, Pensacola, FL, on August 29, 2026 at 1:00 pm.
