Mrs. Hammac was a matriarch to her family. She was a kind, compassionate, good sense of humored, lady of her word and great mother and mother-in-law. She was also a member of Bellview Church of Christ.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Charles Hammac.
Survivors include her daughter, Betty Prevatte of Albany, GA; her sons, Joel Lee Hammac, Barry Hammac, Russell Hammac and Thomas Hammac, all of Pensacola, FL and Tim Hammac of Campobello, SC; 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be Friday, September 20, 2013 at 2 PM at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home with Deacon Bill Crowe and Mr. Tim Hammac officiating. Interment will follow in Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 PM until the service hour.
