Mr. Whitsett was one of my favorite and most respected adults from my childhood. He was my best friends dad and my highly talented baseball coach. I am so sorry to hear about his passing. I will be praying for the family.

What an amazing man! Uncle Darrell reninded me of his sister, my Nana so much! I am so glad to have stopped by to visit years ago on our way to Disney. I love you both so very much. You both are two precious, precious people. So generous, so kind, so welcoming, so loving. Love you both. Cathy

Mr. Darrell Whitsett, I first met you at Jeremy and Stacey’s wedding. Although I do not know you that well, I did know you through my sister, Jeremy’s wife, Stacey. I heard wonderful stories of you, Jeremy, Stacey, and the kids. I can tell you are an honest, loving, and humble husband, father, and grandfather. It shows in the people closest to you such as your wife, Paula, and son, Jeremy. I wish I had the chance to know you more. I know you are smiling from above and looking over your family. May you rest in peace. God bless.

Although I did not know him well, he would always tease about how well I would have done in the military. A fun-loving, full of life man. It was my honor and privilege to say that he was my friend!

I met Mr. Whitsett and his family when they moved into the house across the street from us. He was an amazing man. He was a very loving and devoted husband and father and I’ve always thought the world of him. He and his wife were there for my family when my mom passed away in 1997 and they will always have a special place in my heart. Learning of his passing was a hard one to hear especially after just days before he celebrated 65 years with his loving wife. May you Rest In Peace mr Whitsett.
