She and her husband Lynn or to to my family "The Preacher" were so much a part of my Brother Pat and my life growing up during our Summers as children on Pensacola Beach. I never got to thank you for all the fun times and memories.  You will be missed.

I grew up in the neighborhood where the Irwin's resided. They were a kind, loving couple who were friends to the neighborhood children. I attended Ensley Elementary where she taught second grade for many years. She was such a sweet, quiet spirit & a great pianist. Her long, black locks of curley hair was so unique to her. She was a no-nonsense kind of lady but I always loved & respected her. She was blessed to have lived such a long, fulfilling life.

Mrs. Irwin was my elementary school principal at Barrineau Park Elem. I have fond memories of her. So sorry to hear of her passing.

I worked with Mrs. Irwin when she was principal of Pleasant Grove Elementary School.  She was  a lovely, gentle lady.  Rest in the arms of your Savior, Mrs. Irwin!

My family is sadden to hear today that Aunt Fern passed away. As a kid I always remember her with a smile on her face. Aunt Fern was such a caring and gentle lady.

When I think of the many trips to Pensacola, to visit my close friend Michael's aunt and uncle,  driving less traveled, lovely, long and scenic Florida roads, the destination would always be memorable. Sweet, angelic Kathy, adoring wife of a unique merry-maker and prankster husband, who definitely broke the mould, who would always bless us and proclaim  his nephew Michael and myself "married, just for the night", and beautiful, patient Kathy, with her dark and curly, long hair, and her lovely smile and sparkling eyes, who should have had a houseful of her own children,  will remain in my memory for the rest of my days. It was a privilege to have been accepted in their home. May her soul be at peace.

I'm glad my Aunt Kathy had a long and happy life, and I'm sorry to see her go.  I will remember with love and pleasure both her and my Uncle Lynn (d. 1999) to the end of my days.
