1933 – 2011
Florence Nora (Bartels) Hodges, 78, went home to her Lord Jesus on June 22, 2011.
She was born March 3, 1933 in New Braunfels, Texas.
Her mother and father, Nora Schlameus Bartels and Arthur Bartels preceded her in death.
Florence was a member of Olive Baptist Church.
She retired after 20 plus years of service with Southern Bell Telephone Company. She loved her family, her friends and, of course, her cats.
Florence is survived by her sons, Keith (daughter-in-law Peggy) and Don; her grandchildren, Scott (Shanna), Daniel, Dawn (Stewart) and Brian; and her great grandchildren, Kristina, Savannah, Alexa and Allie.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at 11:00 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel of Pensacola. A visitation will be conducted one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Haven of Our Lady of Peace in Pensacola.
